Having lost the quarter-finals to arch rivals Pakistan in a close match, India made sure things didn’t go out of hand today, picking wickets at regular intervals which checked the flow of runs from the English willows. Menaria, who was recently recruited by Club RCB, bowled with venom to finish with figures of 4/35 in his 10 overs to reduce England to only 176.
The low target made it easier for the Indian colts who cantered home in 36.4 overs. Reddy being the pick of the lot notching up 94 in 112 deliveries with nine hits to the fence and two over it.
