Vijay Zol hundred goes in vain
Royal Challengers Bangalore’s U-19 batting prodigy Vijay Zol struck an unbeaten 109* against Pakistan U-19 in the U-19 Asia Cup.

Despite the ton, India U-19 went down by 1 run in the thriller played at the Kinrara Academy Oval in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.
India U-19 won the toss and chose to field first. Pakistan U-19 racked up a total of 287/7 riding on the back of 121 from opener Sami Aslam and 88 from no.3 Imam-ul-Haq who featured in a 213 run partnership for the second wicket. Rush Kalaria starred for India with 4/54.
India U-19 skipper Unmukt Chand (49) and Vijay Zol added 86 runs for the third wicket after India had been reduced to 37/2 at a point. Zol added another 71 for the four wicket with Akshdeep Nath (42) but India slumped to 226/6 from 194/3 after Nath’s dismissal.
Rush Kalaria hit 30 off 16 in a 51 run partnership for the seventh wicket with Zol to take India closer. Zol meanwhile brought up his 100 off 155 deliveries.
