Vinay injured, out of Sri Lanka tour
Royal Challengers Bangalore pacer Vinay Kumar was ruled out of India’s tour of Sri Lanka.
Vinay suffered a Grade I hamstring injury in his right leg at training on Thursday, 12th July. He is expected to return to fitness in three weeks ruling him out of the tour which begins on 21st July with an ODI at Hambantota.
Irfan Pathan was named as his replacement in the Indian squad by the BCCI’s selection committee.
India will play 5 ODIs and one T20I against Sri Lanka. MS Dhoni will lead the team while RCB's Virat Kohli was retained as Vice Captain for the tour.
