Vinay Kumar back in ODIs against West Indies
Karnataka pacer Vinay Kumar has been included in the 15-man Indian squad for ODIs against West Indies, after Mumbai fast bowler Dhawal Kulkarni was ruled out with a foot injury.
Kulkarni, who has been waiting in the wings for long, received his maiden call-up after impressive performances in domestic cricket. However, a last-minute injury spoiled his party. Vinay, who was earlier dropped from the ODI team after a disappointing showing against Australia, has been granted another opportunity.
Other notable inclusions are that of Haryana's Mohit Sharma, who had a good maiden outing against Zimbabwe with the second string Indian side earlier this year. Ravindra Jadeja is back in the side after recovering from a shoulder niggle. Yuvraj Singh keeps his place in the team, despite a poor show against Australia. Jaydev Unadkat retains his place too. Ishant Sharma, who had a forgettable series against Australia, has been dropped.
The first of the three ODIs will be played on November 21 at Kochi.
