Virat injury to be monitored
A communication from the ICC on Virat Kohli has mentioned that the Indian batsman was clear of major injuries following an injury scare during India's 6 wicket loss to Pakistan at Chennai.
Virat sustained the injury while bowling in the first ODI against Pakistan at Chennai on Sunday. With the turf presumably moist from the overcast conditions, his back foot slipped in his delivery stride and he landed on his knee.
Although in severe pain, Kohli refused the stretcher and limped off the field to receive medical attention.
The ICC later tweeted that there was no major damage to Kohli's ligaments but that he will remain under observation.
Virat Kohli's MRI scan revealed that all his major ligaments are fine, but there is minimal injury fluid in his knee which will be monitored
