We are all pumped up: Robin
Robin Uthappa is itching to have a go in the middle. The important game against the Chennai Super Kings might just be the opportunity that Robin is looking for. “We are eager to make a mark in this tournament before dispersing as a unit and we are pumped up to face Chennai,” Robin said with conviction on the eve of the semifinal clash.
Robin stressed on the fact that the team which would play better on the day would win the match. “Both the teams know the strengths and weaknesses of each other. We have been playing each other a number of times, and we have won four out of seven times. We have also won against them the last time we met here in South Africa. In a T20 game, the team that plays better cricket on the particular day wins.”
However, the fact that Team Royal Challengers has always done well when pushed back against the wall, is inspiring the team to do well this time again. “Last time in South Africa (in the second IPL), we did very well to make a comeback and made it to the finals. We have always bounced back when pushed against the wall, and there is no reason why shouldn’t we do it again in the semis,” Robin sounded supreme confident.
Brushing aside the presence of three world class spinners in the Chennai side, saying, “We all play well against spin,” Robin was also confident about his own form. “I am striking the ball well. It’s just a matter of time before I get a big one.”
Well, we all hope that the time has come for Robin to get the big one.
