Pankaj Singh

Pankaj Singh is a tall right arm medium fast bowler from Rajasthan.

A Rajasthan regular on the Ranji circuit since his his first class debut in 2004, he had a breakout season in 2006 and was one of the reasons Rajasthan reached the final of the Plate League. Injuries in the national set up saw him earn a call-up to the Indian team that toured Australia in 2007 but he didn’t get a chance to play any games there.

Singh was part of the Rajasthan Royals squad in 2008 before transferring to Bangalore the following season. He grabbed the chances he got at RCB and earned a spot in a highly experimental squad for India’s 2010 trip to Zimbabwe where he played just one match.

He was crucial in Rajasthan’s back to back Ranji titles in 2010-11 and 2011-12 and was impressive for the Royals in the 2012 IPL.

Singh also had a good Ranji season in 2012-2013 picking up 29 wickets with his lively pace, something RCB will want him to repeat in IPL 2013.
