It’s an ecstatic feeling to know that RCB is leading the points table. To tell you the truth I was very disappointed with the loss against Kings XI Punjab. But the way RCB played on Sunday against Chennai, wow! What a performance. The entire team played very well especially the bowlers. Special mentions for the fantastic comeback of Zaheer Khan. And then when you have Chris Gayle on your side, you can’t expect anything less than a resounding victory. He’s a Pirate from the Caribbean who can steals one’s thunder and literally decimate the opposition. Thanks to him, for we have come so far in the tournament.

Now, that we are in a commanding position I would ideally want RCB to win its playoff against CSK and go directly to finals. But if things don’t turn out to be in our favour, we still have another chance. It all just boils down to one thing. And that is fan’s support. All the remaining matches of IPL are going to be outside Bangalore. So what we all might miss is the fan frenzy of Chinnaswamy stadium. But I am sure that their hearts will be beating for RCB, which will make sure that the challengers rule wherever they go.

The IPL will be over in less than a week’s time and will surely be missed. But let’s not forget that we have qualified for Champions League also. And we have that to look forward to. So I hope the support and love that the fans have showered upon us till date, continues.

I have a very strong feeling that RCB will win this time. We had made it to the semis even last time around, but it’s very disappointing to be so close yet so far. I just hope that history does not repeat itself this time around. Especially this one..... read more

To tell you frankly, I felt disheartened with the way it started for our team. String of losses after the victory in the opening game and the loss of Dirk Nannes made me wonder whether we would be able to advance to the play offs. But then, I never lost faith in this team. I always hoped there was space for improvement and a turnaround was imminent. Chris Gayle provided the inspiration and the rest of the team responded to the call of improvement. I would like to mention specially about Aravind, who has performed par excellence this season. Now we are at the top of the table and on everybody’s minds. From the bottom of the table, our rise has been like a phoenix which was aided by the “GayleStorm”.

We have been able to play a competitive game inside and outside the stadium too. As much as I want Royal Challengers to win, I am also enthusiastic on the Green initiatives that we have undertaken over the past few months. I take immense pride and feel privileged to be part of this initiative which have made the fans and people at large conscious about the environment and the danger that looms at large if we don’t take corrective measurements now. The fans are now making use of the public transport more and more on their way to the stadium whenever there is a match there. Even I myself walk to the stadium in some matches.

Coming back to cricket, it has been an eventful IPL. We have been able to gather momentum and continue with it too. Dilshan has returned to lead the Sri Lankan side internationally. Though I would have loved to see him win the IPL for us, but it’s a huge honour for him to lead his national side. We truly were privileged to have Dilshan in our team for this IPL. I sincerely hope he returns during the Champions League. I sincerely hope that we can maintain the momentum to end on a high! .... read more

I would like to begin with congratulating the Karnataka Police, the staff and organizers who did a fab job by not creating a panic situation. My heart goes out to the people who were injured, and I pray to god for their speedy recovery.

A loss is always disappointing. It was a game and there could be only one winner, which unfortunately was not RCB. Time to prove our faith in these testing times.

A lot of you have said that Kallis should not be in the team. Everybody
has an opinion, has the right to have one. Express your opinion but back
it up with a logic.

I still cant digest the fact that a we lost yet again to DD. We have
only won once in all IPL encounters. Wonder what went wrong. Was it the
Warner's bluff taking Robbie's catch which turned the match? It seemed
like the toss, which was a major factor deciding the outcome of the
match
