BCCI announce dates for WPL 2027 season and Player Auction

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed on Wednesday that the upcoming Women’s Premier League season will be played from 14th January - 7th February 2027.

The decision was officially communicated to the five participating teams before BCCI posted their press release.

In the same press release, the Player Auction date and venue was confirmed as October 28th in Kochi, with September 28th set as the deadline date for franchises to announce their retentions.
