Devdutt Padikkal registers second consecutive century in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26
Devdutt Padikkal stamped his authority with a commanding second consecutive century in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy as Karnataka powered to an eight-wicket win against Kerala in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025.
Batting first, Kerala totted up 284/7, courtesy of Baba Aparajith and Mohammed Azharuddeen’s fine knocks. However, Karnataka had two stalwarts in Devdutt Padikkal and Karun Nair.
He smashed his second consecutive ton, a 137-ball 124 with 12 fours and three sixes, after belting a 147 against Jharkhand in the previous game as Karnataka secured a record-breaking victory.
Padikkal opened the innings with Mayank Agarawal, hoping to replicate his exploits against Jharkhand. Despite Mayank falling early, Karnataka rode high on the brilliance of Padikkal who paired perfectly alongside an all-firing Karun Nair as Karnataka shot down a formidable number on the board.
