Feeling very happy, we did well with both bat and ball – Mohammed Siraj

It was an incredible performance from Mohammed Siraj, who claimed seven wickets in the first Test against West Indies. His blistering spell featuring four wickets in the first innings shattered the spine of the visitors while he conjured the all-important support with another three-fer in the second innings as Ravindra Jadeja’s job got a lot easier.
Siraj has been savouring a dream run in the longest format of the sport as he spearheaded India’s charge against England at The Oval and also put in a strong performance against the Windies in the opening Test of the fray. Talking at the end of the match in an interview on the sidelines, Siraj underlined the mood in the dugout while revealing his feelings after such a special performance.
Miyan said, “Feeling very happy, we did well with both bat and ball. The wicket was slow in the 2nd innings, it just wasn't coming onto the bat, felt like taking 5 wickets here (despite grabbing 3). “
He further added, “I didn't know that (on being told it's the first time he took wickets in a 2nd innings in India), it's a special feeling. The batting was good, everyone took responsibility, KL has been making runs since the England tour, Shubman has been good and so have the others.”
