The Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be returning to action after a brief five-day break against a similar foe in the Gujarat Titans. With the Titans arriving in Bengaluru for this all-important fixture, both the sides will be hopeful of adding further wins to their tally. RCB currently has three wins and if they are able to piece together a victory tonight then they will be leapfrogging the Mumbai Indians and will be level pegging with Gujarat in terms of points.

Ahead of RCB’s crucial clash against GT at home, Faf du Plessis had a few things to say about the match-up and what exactly is the mindset in the dressing room.

The RCB skipper said, “Pressure is always there. Performances are a part of the game that we play. Pressure is there when you are winning as well. You need to perform as well in the game. But I think for me the nice thing at least from the captaincy point of view is that I feel like we’re playing the style of cricket that we have been wanting to play for so long. It’s more a happiness that we are doing ourselves justice whereas before the opposite was happening.”

He further added, “Proud of the boys, the way they have stood up. It takes a lot of character when you’re down in the dumps. So the boys have responded really well. We have played the last three games very good.”

Faf also said, “Sometimes one guy on the night is just too good for you and you got to acknowledge it. We’ve got good plans and stuff in place we wanna try and get right.”
