As RCB secured their third win on the trot in WPL 2026, it came on the back of a special turnaround as they needed something extraordinary to stay alive in the game after a shaky start. Wobbling at 43/4, Radha Yadav stepped up big time alongside Richa Ghosh, powering to a defining 66 off just 47 balls. Her partnership of 105 runs with Richa was certainly the highlight of the game.

Radha won the Player of the Match award for her phenomenal performance with the bat. Talking at the post-match presentation, Radha Yadav expressed her delight at being the top draw for RCB in their latest outing. She also praised Richa Ghosh for her incredible show with the bat while acknowledging the efforts put in by RCB’s batting coach, RX Murali.

Talking about the innings and how Richa helped her, Radha said, “I enjoyed it a lot. The conversation I had with Richa was very crucial. It wasn't an easy situation to bat in as we had lost four wickets. I will give full credit to Richa for the way she spoke to me. I know I have the shots, the game, the temperament and everything but the way Richa passed on the confidence was very important.”

Revealing the discussions that she had with Richa in the center, Radha said, “She told me to be calm, see what the opposition were doing, dot balls will come, don't worry. We can capitalise later on as we have the shots. The belief she had on me gave me a lot of confidence.”

Picking on her favourite shot of the innings, Radha said, “The first ball I faced I middled, I then knew I have done this before for the state and for India A. So I had that confidence. But to do it here for the first time on this stage gives me a lot of joy.” Crediting RX Murali for the backfoot six, that she struck, Radha said, “I think RX sir (RX Murali - batting coach for RCB) has worked a lot on my power-hitting so I have to credit him for that.”

She concluded with a special gesture, asking for the Player of the Match award to be shared, stating, “The match is done, we won, so work done. That's it. I also want to say something - Shreyu bowled really well, it's not so easy to bowl as a spinner in such dewy conditions, so I want to share this award with her.”
