It can be confusing for the bowler – Jitesh Sharma on batting with Romario Shepherd for RCB

When it comes to hitting the ball out of the park, no one in RCB does it better than Romario Shepherd. An absolute colossal striker of the ball, Shepherd has been at the peak of his power-hitting prowess. However, as they say, double the trouble and it’s more fun to see the ball fly by, over and over again. Add Jitesh Sharma to the mix with Shepherd and the bowlers would want a day off to recover.

In the latest match simulation conducted by the RCB thinktank, the two once again dished out what was a clinical show of power-hitting, leaving the bowlers absolutely distraught. Shepherd hammered 55 off just 30 balls while Jitesh stayed unbeaten for 90 from just 52 balls. Talking on the RCB Bold Diaries, Romario Shepherd and Jitesh Sharma were all praise about each other.

Highlighting what Jitesh does exceptionally well, Shepherd said, “Whenever you're batting with someone like Jitesh, what Jitesh does well in the end, you know, is hold his composure, stay calm, and you know, you have all the shots, so it's easy for him to actually go to one of his funky shot, you know, one of the scoops or something like that. In T20 cricket, that's all you want, just to get a hold of his game plan. And, you know, J does that very well.”

Jitesh added to it, underscoring the troubles for the bowlers when these two bat together, stating, “I have a lot of fun when I bat with him. He laughs a lot. We appreciate each other. He keeps asking me ‘Jitesh, how can you play 360?’ I keep on asking him that how can he hit so powerful. With baby stance (mimics), he has baby stance. With his power, when we play together, I feel the bowler might be confused. I can use all the angles and he can hit with power. It can be confusing for the bowler to place the field.”
