One of the rising sensations who has been a significant part of India’s revolution in women’s cricket is Sree Charani. The young left-arm spinner has already left a formidable trail of success and simply keeps on growing from strength to strength.

With 44 WT20I wickets from 26 games, Charani has been one of India’s finest spinners in recent times. She started the Women’s Asia Cup with an impressive performance, registering figures of 2/10. India’s bowling coach, Aavishkar Salvi opened up on how she has been an absolute warrior in the nets while highlighting the levels she is setting for herself.

Shedding light on Sree Charani’s brilliance in an interview released by BCCI, Salvi said, “I think she is an exceptional talent. She has created an impact from Day 1 that she has stepped into the Indian women’s cricket team. One year down the line, you see where she has reached in the rankings as well.”

Decoding her practice regime, Salvi added, “She is someone who focuses majorly on her basics. She is practicing in the nets. Every day there is something or the other that she wants to learn. Every single time she comes into the net, she challenges herself to different situations and tries to express herself.”
