Stay consistent: Ellyse Perry reveals message for younger self and much more
When Ellyse Perry steps onto the pitch, she is a walking gladiator. However, outside the pitch, Pez is as fun as she can be. And she didn’t hold herself back from a few smiles as she answered a few questions about herself in an interview with Star Sports.
Pez, who is an Australia and RCB star, opened up on her choice of actor to play her on the silver screen. She also gave a nod to Indian coffee ahead of a flat white on her matchdays.
Pez picked Anne Hathaway as her favourite actor to play her in a biopic. She also revealed a secret talent of hers away from the cricket pitch - parking cars (a rare talent indeed; control and precision are the key, though).
Perry also underlined the fact that it was the evolution of women’s cricket that changed her career forever. Spilling the beans on her longevity, Perry said that it was consistency that had helped her prolong her career. She also lauded the growing professionalisation of women’s cricket.
When asked what she would pick between a flat white or a South Indian filter coffee, she was fairly clear about picking the latter. (Well, filter coffee always makes you come back for more).
Pez picked Sydney McLaughlin, the iconic 400m American hurdler, with whom she could have swapped lives, saying, “It would be an absolute dream to feel that good, running.” She concluded by talking about a message that she would send her 16-year-old self, stating, “Stay consistent.”
