England went out all guns blazing against South Africa in what was a world-record display, piling up the first-ever 300 in the history of T20I cricket against an ICC full member team.

Two of RCB’s superstars were a part of the cortex-boggling assault as Phil Salt led the charge while Jacob Bethell’s crucial cameo in the center kept the rampage alive.

Bethell blasted 26 off 14 before Fortuin dismissed him. In his quickfire knock, RCB’s starboy smacked the left arm spinner for two fours and two sixes. Just when it felt like England might have slowed down with Jos Buttler back in the pavilion, Bethell took over the reins.

With Aiden Markram desperate to sneak another wicket, he decided to offer flight to Bethell and the southpaw had no hesitation in caressing those to the fence. The first one was a tad overcooked on the pads as Bethell got into position to sweep it away beyond backward square leg for a boundary.

The following two deliveries were all over the place as Bethell channeled his inner beast in launching the Protean skipper into the stands not once but twice. Markram pitched one in the slot and Bethell danced down the track to whack him over long-on for a maximum. The latter then pulled off almost a highlight reel of the same shot, only with further distance.

Markram bowled fuller and Bethell, taking a stroll down the wicket, produced a clean swing to send the ball flying into the night skies over Manchester. You can watch the consecutive sixes from Jacob Bethell here
