South Africa broke India's long-standing win streak in the ICC T20 World Cup during the Super Eight encounter. Unfortunately, the staggering margin of defeat has put the Men in Blue in a predicament that requires a commanding performance to erase all fears of a knockout.

India's batting coach, Sitanshu Kotak, highlighted that a defeat after a long time can always raise questions. However, he reinstated his belief in the Indian players, pointing out that they are well-equipped to handle pressure and can always turn the equation around.

Highlighting India's capability to handle the situation, Kotak said in the pre-match press conference, "Just because we lost one game and have not got [a good opening] partnership, people talk more about it, but I honestly think they all are good enough to handle that pressure and we have to. If we want to win the World Cup, we have to handle that pressure. If we can't, then it's tough."

He further added, "And I don't believe that there is anything this team cannot handle. So it's just, I am personally looking for that momentum. Once we start getting that momentum again, if we do it from tomorrow, I think they will be picking up at the right time. So I am looking at it that way."

Underlining the fact, that India will stick to their game-plans, Kotak added, "We will play the same brand of cricket. Yes, like I said, sometimes you lose a couple of quick wickets and somebody tried to see off six-eight balls - not defending, but maybe the shot selection or a risk percentage, shots you play. But that's about it."
