Building a culture of champions

Champions come from within. We congratulate the Indian u23 team for winning the ACC Emerging Teams Cup in Singapore, particularly our very own KL Rahul. He was the leading run scorer (321) in the tournament. KL Rahul was rewarded again recently for solid performances with the bat. He scored 110 and 102 in the same match (semi-final of the Moin-ud-Dowla Gold Cup) tournament in Managlore earlier in the month. KL was also recently named in the India A squad to take on the West Indies in their first 4-day match later this month.

Champions never give up. Hearty congratulations to Chris Gayle and his Caribbean Premier League (CPL) team the Jamaica Tallawahs on winning the inaugural CPL. AB De Villiers is also to be congratulated on being named Cricket South Africa’s ODI player of the year.

Champions are made to last. Vijay Zol’s progress as a maturing batsman continues to impress. He scored a hundred for India A against NZ A on his debut. Well done Vijay! Abhinav Mukund and Arun Karthik both scored centuries to help TNCA President XI to the Buchi Babu semis.

Champions start with a dream. Out of IPL season, franchises strategize and plan their way forward, leading to bold announcements in support of their goals - like Delhi Daredevils recently naming Gary Kirsten as head coach. RCB are also proud to announce that we will be working with a new marketing executive in taking our brand to new heights. B Sridhar has already broken new frontiers with our digital platform and you can expect exciting fireworks on the marketing side as he takes on the new challenge. We thank Ashish Thukral, our previous marketing guru, and wish him well as he heads off to new opportunities abroad.

Champions are rewarded. Results and actions speak volumes. Noted for relationship building under the customer relationship category from the Mobile Marketing Association, RCB produced the goods yet again when we were awarded silver for our campaign on augmented reality on RCB match tickets. The campaign was very well received. Well done Team RCB Digital.

Champions achieve consistently, with quiet determination.Chesteshwar Pujara continues to serve the India A team as captain and we note with excitement the inclusion of the following RCB players who were recently identified by the Indian selectors. Sheldon Jackson and Zaheer Khan were called up to play against the West Indies in the second and third 4-day games. Jaydev Unadkat gets a chance in the three 50 over games and one T20 match. In the Challenger Trophy between India Red and India Blue, Abhinav Mukund, Saurabh Tiwary and Abhimanyu Mithun will turn out for the red team and Vinay Kumar for the blues. We wish our players well and hope that they continue to talk with bat and ball.

Finally, our online merchandise platform is now live and available through our service provider - www.ticketgenie.com and the RCB website www.royalchallengers.com. Don’t delay - limited stocks are available.

Watch out for another exciting merchandise launch due soon. The Gaylestorm range, plus items from one or two other RCB icons, is due out soon. Look out online for our special offers.

The Champions League is upon us. We wish our fellow IPL teams competing the best of luck. Enjoy the cricket.

How can a person score 196 runs in the game Gayle Storm! At maximum only 180 runs could be scored in the available 5 overs. So We do not really understand the logic behind it..

Sir, What about the reward points I have earned? I have participated in most of the contest zones and debates, sequence it etc.. But your website says "Don't worry we will be back after IPL 6 ends and your reward points will remain the same". IPL6 has ended 6 months back itself. So I sincerely request you to reply to my comment. Most of the RCB Fans we feel let down.
