Message from RCB Team Management
Very soon you’ll discover that McDowell’s No 1 will take pride of place on our Match Day Kit for 2012. Speaking of “pride”, we are particularly proud of you – our fans – the heart and soul of RCB who will take us forward to even greater heights in IPL 5 and the years ahead.
I trust you’ll join me in congratulating Virat Kohli on his great individual performances down-under. Tillakaratne Dilshan also did us proud with his recent performances. May their form continue and become an inspiration to the rest of our hard working squad for the upcoming IPL tournament.
Personally I cannot wait to see our new, uncapped brigade in action this season. The likes of Ranganath Vinay Kumar, Muttiah Muralitharan, Andrew McDonald, Harshal Patel, Karun Nair, Ronit More, S. Thiyagrajan, Rilee Rossouw and Vijay Zol. Hopefully, this year’s debutants (if selected) will go on to gain great success, recognition and support.
In my opinion, the greatest threat to us this season is complacency. We have reached great heights since the inaugural edition of the IPL in 2008. Performance – both on and off the field – will again be the key factor for our success. I cannot stress how key and vital your continued support will be in helping us on the road ahead. True fans are loyal supporters – through the good and the bad. I know we can rely on your consistent support and RCB passion which will always be the heart blood of who we are.
I am excited by the “soon-to-be-launched’ E-Commerce shop. We are in the process of putting together a lifestyle merchandise range that I hope you’ll be eager to purchase and proud to wear!
Our aim is to build on our characters, celebrate in their successes, support them when the going gets tough and always interact as ONE unified body, regardless where we may be based throughout the country.
All that is left now, is to encourage you to secure your match tickets (www.spiritzandmore.com) and to create the awareness amongst your family, friends, colleagues, community and everyone you know that the ONLY place to be from 4th April to the 23rd May 2012 is the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore (or other relevant stadiums for our fans not based in Bangalore) – cheering proudly and with dignity with fire in your belly for the success of OUR team…in your 2012 RCB lifestyle kit!
