Success and Reward…

“What you put in is what you’ll get out” is what they say. This could not be more true than for Cheteshwar Pujara who celebrated again recently but this time with a maiden double test hundred (206*) against England in the 1st Test. He then followed it up with another hundred in the 2nd Test. Well done Puj!

The same can be said for Virat Kohli who was awarded by the BCCI at its 2011/12 Awards the Polly Umrigar Award for Cricketer of the Year. Well done Virat! It is also great to see that Vijay Zol (our young up and coming star) was awarded the MA Chidabaram Award for Best u19 Cricketer at the same event. Awesome Vijay, we look forward to watching you achieve a long and successful cricket career. Congratulations too to Arun Karthik on scoring 121* and in so doing, saved the match for Tamil Nadu against Delhi.

The IPL trading window is currently open and interestingly enough there does not seem to be much movement -judging by the lack of media reporting. Congratulations to the BCCI/IPL on securing Pepsi as the title rights holder of the IPL for the next five years at a staggering amount (+-71m USD). The IPL too has announced that the IPL 6 Player auction is likely to be in Chennai on 12 January 2013 or in Kolkata on 20 January 2013. Players will want to be in awesome form leading up to this auction as most franchises will have substantial revenue available. The salary cap for 2013 is 12.5m USD.

RCB offers you another first…Have your say in our kit design for 2013. We will shortly present you with 3 options, please choose ONE only. How we look is important. How we play is vital.

Finally, as we reach the end of a trying year and with the fireworks of Diwali still ringing in our ears, we say thank you to you our loyal fans for your support over the past year. We will be counting on you to engage and interact with us during our build up campaign for the Pepsi IPL in 2013 and we look forward to meeting you in person in the future.

To all those celebrating Christmas, we wish you a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year.

RCB should get rid of players like Zaheer Khan, Saurabh Tiwary and T Dilshan this season if they have any hopes of doing well this year
