Bowls Left Arm Medium Pace
Born Apr 08, 1984

This local boy from Bangalore bowls left arm medium pace and can swing the white ball both the ways. He came into limelight with a brilliant 2010 Ranji season for Karnataka where he snapped 26 wickets.

Playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, in the 2011 IPL, he bowled alongside Zaheer Khan and Abhimanyu Mithun and formed a potent attack as he finished as the leading wicket taker for the team and played a vital role in the team’s journey to the finals. He was the second highest wicket taker for RCB in the 2011 Champions League T20 and followed it by picking 10 wickets in the Duleep Trophy. His impressive run of form earned him a place in the Indian ODI team for the home series against England.

A recurring injury though flared up to keep him out of the 2012 IPL season and he only managed to play one match.

His accuracy, consistency and experience are a big bonus to the squad and Adam Milne’s injury in 2015 earned him a call up to replace the Kiwi in RCB’s pack of pacers.
