After winning the RCB ‘FFC 5’, Mahesh Nambiar’s sketches have become a rage. Nambiar, who has received accolades for his amazing sketches of RCB players was named as the official RCB Sketchstar right before the IPL. You can find his sketches in our Sketchstar gallery. Here are excerpts from an interview with the talented artist.
Pleasing a crowd that braved a 3 hour rain delay, Virat Kohli and Zaheer Khan turned in emphatic displays as the Royal Challengers Bangalore clinched a 24 run win over Chennai Super Kings on Saturday night. RCB are tied with Sunrisers Hyderabad on 18 points apiece. Though SRH have a game against Kolkata left their Net Run Rate is at very poor -0.031 to RCB's +0.457. A loss would bring that number down further and RCB could advance to the playoffs ahead on the basis of a better NRR.
Daniel Vettori is one of the best ever spin bowlers to have graced modern day cricket but the wily spinner will readily tell you that he is incredibly lucky to have Chris Gayle as his teammate at Royal Challengers Bangalore since he does not have to bowl to the burly West Indian opener in an IPL game.
Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers Bangalore 8 PM Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai The Royal Challengers Bangalore start an arduous stretch of the team’s IPL 6 campaign, playing 6 consecutive away games beginning with their match against the Mumbai Indians on Saturday night.
Daniel Vettori, one of the finest bowlers in RCB, has returned to training after recovering from an injury. With Muttiah Muralitharan in the side he may not be a regular in RCB’s starting XI but he is an integral part of the team, mentoring the youngsters and giving much needed inputs as ex-skipper. There is no doubt that Vettori will be needed at crucial times in the current season to help the team out.
Virat Kohli was the only Indian who could find a place in ICC’s T20 Team of the Tournament; Suresh Raina was included as the 12th man. Kolhi managed to impress with his consistent performances, his highest score of 78* came against Pakistan. RCBian Chris Gayle too made it to the team. Gayle played a vital role in West Indies’ World Twenty20 campaign. He made 222 runs in 7 matches, his highest score in the tournament was 75*.

RCB Auctions 2012 was a one-off chance for fans to bid and own the most precious RCB merchandise, specially autographed by various celebrity guests on Sid Mallya's show, 'No Boundaries.' It was pre-decided that proceeds from the auctions would go to NGOs that the highest bidder of each product chose.
Chris Gayle, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers form a batting line up to die for in T20s. RCB thrilled the crowds again this season and the M Chinnaswamy turned into one big carnival every time the men in red and gold played in Bangalore. Despite the superb batting, cruelly, the team fell short of making it to the play offs on net run rate. But still, runs were plundered, records were broken and innings that will be remembered and talked about for years to come were played this season by RCB batsmen. Here’s a look at who did what this season:

Royal Challengers Bangalore all rounder Chris Gayle tore apart the Dhaka Gladiators bowling to score 116 off 61 balls, his second ton in the Bangladesh Premier League in a week but it was not enough to save his team from defeat. The Barisal Burners reached only 187/5, falling 21 runs short in their chase of the Gladiators score of 208/5 in their BPL clash at Mirpur in Dhaka on Tuesday.
Royal Challengers Bangalore allrounder Chris Gayle hit his sixth T20 ton, crossed the 3000 run mark in T20s and also became the first man to hit 200 sixes in T20 cricket as his Bangladesh Premier League team Barisal Burners charged to a 10 wicket win against the Sylhet Royals in the BPL opener at the Shere Bangla Stadium in Mirpur on Friday.
