Virat Kohli was the only Indian who could find a place in ICC’s T20 Team of the Tournament; Suresh Raina was included as the 12th man. Kolhi managed to impress with his consistent performances, his highest score of 78* came against Pakistan. RCBian Chris Gayle too made it to the team. The Champions League T20 starts in South Africa this week! I would be lying if I said I was not hurting while writing this newsletter. You will recall that RCB missed out on qualifying for this event by the narrowest of margins. I am sure it hurts you, our loyal fans, just as much as it hurts me. Firstly, I would like to thank RCB fan Suresh Ananth for highlighting, in his comments on my last BLOG, that I did not acknowledge the sterling bowling performance delivered by Vinay Kumar in Pepsi IPL 6. I do read all BLOG comments and must offer my sincere apologies for overlooking Vinay. I certainly agree with Suresh - Vinay bowled beautifully for much of the tournament and realized 23 wickets. He was definitely part of our success on the field.
