Aniket Choudhary started playing basketball as a youngster since his school in Bikaner did not have a cricket team but played indoor cricket with a light ball and bat after returning from school everyday. He debuted for Rajasthan in 2011 but took time to get noticed.
His first big break came when he was invited to the Indian nets in 2016 to bowl to Indian batsmen and help them prepare better for Trent Boult. But the Rajasthan pacer, who often brushes the 145 kmph mark, got real media attention only a little while back. He also said that during his stint with the Indian team, he managed to dismiss every Indian batsman but skipper Virat Kohli's wicket eluded him.
He was chosen to play against Bangladesh for India A and responded by picking 4 wickets. Aniket was also among wickets for Central Zone in the Inter Zonal T20. He had a successful Ranji Trophy season in 2017-18 and before that, was among the wickets whilst bowling miserly spells for India Green in the Duleep Trophy. He captains his side Rajasthan in the ODIs of the Vijay Hazare Trophy and in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20s.
In the 2018 VIVO IPL mega Auction, Aniket was bought back by RCB for INR 30 Lakhs after representing the Bold in 2017. Interestingly, Aniket idolises Starc and wants to become as impactful as him in the near future.
