What is Keto?

We've all heard about the "Keto Diet". The ketogenic diet is a very low-carb, moderate protein & high-fat diet. It involves drastically reducing carbohydrate intake and replacing it with fat. This reduction in carbs puts your body into a metabolic state called ketosis. When this happens, your body becomes incredibly efficient at burning fat for energy. It also turns fat into ketones in the liver, which can supply energy for the brain.

Ketogenic diets can cause massive reductions in blood sugar and insulin levels. This, along with the increased ketones, has numerous health benefits.
A ketogenic diet is an effective way to lose weight, and the diet is so filling that you can lose weight without intensely counting calories or tracking your food intake!

The good news is, keto is probably the simplest diet you will find, with yummy food! You can definitely add butter and cream to everything!
The not so good news, is that it can feel a little strict and you may miss the food you were used to eating on a daily basis. Roti or rice are a strict no- no.
But keeping that aside, there are plenty of options you can eat during your Keto Diet.

Here's a quick ketogenic diet food list for your reference.

Avoid high carb foods and foods full of sugar or starch like whole grains!
As a basic beginners rule to the keto diet, the more restrictive you are on your carbohydrates consumption( less than 15g per day) the faster your body will enter ketosis.

If you have any health issues, always consult with your doctor before attempting a ketogenic diet.
