Things are spicing up in the business end of the IPL 7 season. RCB, after a string of performances resembling a rocky road have to win all the 4 remaining games to qualify for the playoffs. With Yuvraj Singh hitting form just at the right time, RCB would be hoping that it would be just the tonic that they may have needed.

Yuvraj Singh is so far the 2nd highest scorer for RCB in this season, behind only AB de Villiers. Yuvraj started off the campaign with a promising half century to take his team over the line for a comfortable victory against DD. Since then, his form went a bit astray but he still made cameo contributions with the bat and in the field. But just when RCB were looking almost done and dusted for the year, Yuvraj Singh emerged like a phoenix from the flames and teed off at just the right time.

The first indications came when Yuvraj smashed a belligerent 83(38) with the bat and also took 4 wickets when bowling against RR. The team lost the match but Yuvraj’s all-round performance was heartening to say the least. To prove that this was not just a one-off outing, Yuvraj did it again in the next match when he hit an unbeaten 68(29) to post a match winning total against DD.

There have never been any doubts over the calibre of Yuvraj Singh. He is a proven match winner and has won numerous matches and tournaments for his national side. He has peaked at just the right time for the RCB camp with must-win games coming their way. He could be just the force that was needed to galvanize the team and push them towards a playoffs spot.

How to tackle Yuvraj is definitely going to be a part of team-talks for the other franchises now that the southpaw is in the zone again. So don’t be surprised if Yuvraj plays another blistering innings to take the match away from the opposition, because Yuv Been Warned!
