He made his first-class debut against Karachi Urban in Pakistan in 2007 for Mumbai. He also played for India Greens in the Challenger Trophy and is a regular part of the Mumbai club circuit. He grabbed everyone's attention when he destroyed Haryana's batting line-up with a five for in a T20 game. After this he was made a part of the Indian U-19 team for a tri-series in Sri Lanka where he was the third highest wicket-taker. The ten wickets he took in 2008 were the key to India U-19 winning the World Cup in Malaysia.
