Role Batsman
Born Dec 18, 1991

Mandeep Singh became the talk of the Indian cricketing world with back-to-back centuries in his debut season for the Punjab U-15 team in the 2005 Polly Umrigar Trophy. The season after that his knocks of 113, 98 and 165 were critical in Punjab retaining the title. The right-handed top-order batsman performed splendidly in Australia and South Africa for the India U-19 team in 2009, earning the role of Vice-Captaincy on India's 2010 U-19 World Cup campaign in New Zealand.

He progressed assuredly from junior cricket to first-class cricket in the Ranji Trophy, averaging 53.55 in 2010-2011 and 71.62 in 2011-2012. He scaled new heights in IPL 5 where he was honoured with the 'Emerging Player of the Year Award' for his brilliant performances. This attacking cricketer can also bowl right-arm medium to get his team out of a pickle. We've seen what he can do and we know he's going to be a forerunner in gathering mammoth totals for RCB!
