Mandeep Singh became the talk of the Indian cricketing world with back-to-back centuries in his debut season for the Punjab U-15 team in the 2005 Polly Umrigar Trophy. The season after that his knocks of 113, 98 and 165 were critical in Punjab retaining the title. The right-handed top-order batsman performed splendidly in Australia and South Africa for the India U-19 team in 2009, earning the role of Vice-Captaincy on India's 2010 U-19 World Cup campaign in New Zealand.

He progressed assuredly from junior cricket to first-class cricket in the Ranji Trophy, averaging 53.55 in 2010-2011 and 71.62 in 2011-2012. He scaled new heights in IPL 5 where he was honoured with the 'Emerging Player of the Year Award' for his brilliant performances. This attacking cricketer can also bowl right-arm medium to get his team out of a pickle. We've seen what he can do and we know he's going to be the frontrunner in gathering mammoth totals for RCB!

He played the VIVO IPL 2017 but his campaign was cut short with a back injury. He had to undergo surgery which forced him to miss the latter part of 2017, inhibiting his chances to play for Punjab in the Ranji Trophy. However, he came back hard in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2018 and consistently smashed the ball around at the top of the order. That convinced the think-tank at RCB to prise Mandeep away at the VIVO IPL Auction 2018!
