First practice session kicks off at Chinnaswamy

The quest to clinch the coveted Indian Premier League trophy has begun! Our Challengers have assembled and are raring to go!

Preparations have begun in full swing at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium as Royal Challengers Bangalore eye their maiden title triumph and gear up for the 9th edition of the Indian Premier League. The World's #1 T20I batsman, bowler and all-rounder is all that you wish for in a T20 team. And we've got it all! Virat Kohli, Samuel Badree and Shane Watson look well-equipped to conquer the throne this time!

Our newest recruit Shane Watson was already practicing at Udaipur, where he was staying with his family, and looks set for the ultimate challenge!

 

Challenger David Wiese had a well deserved break in Phuket after playing for South Africa in the recently concluded ICC World T20 and has is longing to take the field for us!

Wiese and Travis Head have joined the practice session along with Kane Richardson. 'World Boss' Chris Gayle and Shane Watson will hit the nets tomorrow.

Skipper Virat Kohli will join the team on Thursday while KL Rahul, Praveen Dubey and Sreenath Aravind along with Abu Nechim, Harshal Patel, Kedar Jadhav, Mandeep Singh, Sarfaraz Khan, Varun Aaron, Yuzvendra Chahal, Sachin Baby, Iqbal Abdulla and Akshay Karnewar are on board already!

Our bowling coach Allan Donald has also shown his share of excitement ahead of the tournament.

 

The players are sweating it out ahead of the much anticipated tournament and the countdown begins as RCB take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in their opening game on the 12th of April!
