Royal Challengers all-rounder Pawan Negi has had a good season despite the team's unsuccessful year in the tournament, the 24-year-old is looking forward to perform tonight at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, Delhi. The clash between the Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore is the last match of VIVO IPL 2017, and both the teams are looking forward to register a win.
Negi believes the league has been a learning curve for him, and speaks very highly of coach Daniel Vettori, "It was a great experience to work with our bowling coach Daniel Vettori. I used to talk to him all the time before the start of the season and he has given me a lot of advice on how to improve my game," said Negi in a conversation with Hindustan Times.
"Daniel is a left-arm spinner himself and as a result, it was easy for him to guide me. He was always there for all of us during practice and the credit for our growth goes largely to his training tactics. I also learnt a lot from bowling with Chahal," he added.
Negi is also all praise for skipper Virat and the way he leads,"He is a brilliant captain, but the best part about him is that he is extremely supportive of his players. Both on and off the pitch, it is not difficult to approach him and he helped me a lot this season," said the all-rounder.
Impressing the likes of skipper Kohli and coach Vettori, Negi is highest wicket-taker in the squad with his 16 wickets from 13 matches.
