About

Pavan Deshpande is a Left handed batsman who can occasionally bowl some offbreaks for Karnataka. He made his Ranji Trophy debut for them in the 2016-17 season and cracked a superb 70 on debut. He has been consistent in the KPL which gave him a spot in Karnataka's Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2018 campaign.

Much like Anirudha Joshi, he found touch in the tournament and with RCB on the lookout for exciting local talent, Pavan fit the bill spot on! He averages 67.20 in T20s for Karnataka! He played a pivotal role for Karantaka in their 2018 Vijay Hazare Trophy campaign by displaying dual roles of an aggressor as well as by steadying the ship in times of trouble! 310 runs striking at almost a run- a-ball in the tournament are good returns for someone who came in to bat towards the business end of the innings. He can roll his arm over without a lot of fuss and is capable of containing the runflow. Pavan can ideally be used as a floater in the batting line-up to unleash his big hits when the team calls him upon to do so. He'd hope he gets the opportunity to repay the faith that RCB has posed in his abilities for VIVO IPL 2018.
