BCCI announced the 16-member squad for the upcoming Bangladesh tour of the Indian women’s cricket team. Five Royal Challengers made it to the squad that also featured a maiden call-up for leg spinner, Asha Sobhana, who proved her mettle in the recently concluded WPL.

Alongside Asha, Mumbai Indians’ Sajeevan Sajana also made it to the squad while Jemimah Rodrigues was left out of the list due to a niggle. Sobhana’s impressive numbers of 12 wickets from 10 games which also featured a fifer in the season opener saw her making the cut for the national team.
