India set sights on T20I series win as Afghanistan seek survival
After securing a massive win against Afghanistan in the series opener, the Men in Blue are all set to rock and roll again as they gear up for the second T20I.
The first game of the series witnessed Abhishek Sharma creating absolute carnage with the bat while the Indian bowlers were also bang on the money.
As the second T20I approaches, India would be hoping for more of that relentlessness against Afghanistan. They had their hands on the killswitch in the first clash but then Afghanistan did manage to find a way back. Afghanistan, on the contrary, will have to fix their batting woes that came apart at the seams when India squeezed hard.
However, with the kind of firepower that both the sides are stacked with, if they get going, one can expect this contest to be a high-scoring contest, considering the surface that has been at play in Delhi.
Venue Watch:
The track has already proven to be a blessing for the batters with the ball coming on pretty nicely to the bat. There hasn’t been much movement as well after the lacquer came off, making life a lot easier for the batters. Pacers will get some additional assistance if they are able to hit the deck hard and get the length balls into play.
