Season after season, the Indian Premier League brings with it a host of pulsating encounters that leave the fans startled. The Royal Challengers edged past Mumbai Indians in a nerve-wracking contest at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

The skipper, Virat Kohli, was all smiles and relieved after getting over the line here on Monday. "I don't have words right now. It was such a roller-coaster game. I think they played really well and patiently in the middle. It went down to the wire, we tried to execute the things we wanted to. We've got a close victory and these little things on the field, we really want to focus on it,” he was quoted as saying in a post-match presentation.

Kohli, placing a stronger emphasis on ground fielding, claims that this is one domain where they will need to pull the socks up. "Fielding is something we need to work on. If we'd taken our chances, it wouldn't have been so close."

The battle between Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah was undoubtedly the most anticipated one of the tournament. He stated that small match-ups like this make the game more fascinating and engrossing for the fans. "It was a good match-up against Jasprit. Top-quality cricket and games like these, people would love to watch."

On a night where all the batsmen went hammer and tongs against the bowlers, it all boiled down to the pacers to prove their mettle for their respective sides in the Super Over. Navdeep Saini put his hand up and displayed a courageous bowling performance, conceding only 7 runs against the potent MI batting attack. The 31-year-old, showering praise on the young pacer, asserted that the bowling effort in the Super Over had a telling impact in the game. "Outstanding Super Over from Saini. He used the yorkers and wide balls to good effect. This should boost us going forward,” Kohli said.
