About RCB

Royal Challengers Bangalore, also called RCB is the Bangalore based franchise of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The team is owned by the Bangalore based United Spirits Limited.

The team rose from a bottom two finish in 2008 to end as runners up in 2009 and semi finalists in 2010, adding another runners up finish in 2011. RCB has also qualified for three editions of Champions League T20 so far. RCB won 8 games out of 16 in IPL 2012 but could not qualify for the play-offs or the 2012 CLT20. In 2013, RCB won 9 out of 16 matches but did not qualify to the play-offs or the 2013 CLT20.

Coached by Daniel Vettori, the side is led by the young and exciting Virat Kohli.
