A keen learner of the game – Omkar Salvi on Rasikh Salam Dar’s growth through the IPL 2026 season

Rasikh Salam Dar struck the winning runs last time around when RCB won the match in Nava Raipur. A thriller that boiled down to the final ball of the game showed nerves from both sides. As the Royal Challengers gear up for their last home game of the season, RCB’s bowling coach Omkar Salvi opened up on how Rasikh has grown into an incredible cricketer.

Talking at the pre-match presser, Salvi said, “Rasikh is someone who has learned through his experiences and errors. He had his setbacks and learnings from previous teams and all of that has helped him become a better bowler. He is a keen learner of the game and throughout the season he has worked on his skillsets. It is a learning phase for everyone and he is doing well.”

He also discussed the challenge ahead for RCB and highlighted the preparations for Rajat Patidar and company. Salvi added, “For now we are only focusing on our team, on our strengths and preparation. We will take tactical calls based on the way the pitch behaves on the day. KKR have played well in the last few games and they have good momentum, so definitely it will be a good match.”
