Bhuvi has been brilliant – Mo Bobat opens up on RCB pace ace's contributions in IPL 2026
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been the face of RCB’s bowling unit for IPL 2026. With 24 wickets already in the tournament, Bhuvi is the joint highest wicket-taker alongside Kagiso Rabada of Gujarat Titans.
As RCB prepares for the final challenge of the league stages against Sunrisers Hyderabad, RCB’s Director of Cricket, Mo Bobat opened up on how Bhuvi’s presence boosts RCB’s bowling strength.
Talking at the pre-match presser ahead of the final league-stage fixture for RCB, Bobat said, “Bhuvi has been brilliant. His outcomes have been excellent, he’s taken a lot of wickets, but also he’s bowled with excellent rhythm. He’s been effective at the front end of the innings and also the back end, so we’re very pleased with how he’s going.”
Underscoring the overall value that Bhuvi adds to the side, Bobat added, “He talks well in meetings, he’s a good source of insight and ideas on the field under pressure. He can be a great support to Rajat and Jitesh as well, which is really important. We get huge value out of him because he gives us so much.”
