The Royal Challengers have now shifted their base to Mumbai, where they are scheduled to play two matches at the Wankhede Stadium. Their next two matches will be up against former IPL champions Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings, respectively on 22nd and 25th April.

The Bengaluru-based club began its preparation for the Mumbai leg of the tournament at the Wankhede Stadium. On Bold Diaries, coaches and players talk about the positives from the three wins in a row, bio bubble travel experience, team strength among other things.

“Have a good session adjust to the new conditions here different to Chennai so batsman obviously, gets used to the pace and bounce,” Head Coach Simon Katich said on Bold Diaries.

On bio-bubble travel experience

“Most of us are pretty much used to it (bio-bubble travel experience) and I didn't see any difference at all neither did I feel any discomfort or whatsoever so it was good it was fun travelling with RCB after a very long time I think the last time we travelled was in 2019,” said Washington Sundar.

On Mumbai’s pitch

“The wickets are good here, and it will be challenging for bowlers. Everyone can expect a better view here, but let's see how it goes. We have to play a 3:30 PM (afternoon) game over here as well, so it's going to be hot and humid. Let's see how it goes,” added Washi.

Mike Hesson on RCB’s bench strength

“That's what good sides do, they have got that strength and guys that turn up every day and put the work in and know that when they get that opportunity they’ll be ready. That's what any good side requires that those guys are willing to put the work in. They are quite selfless in terms of how they operate, whether it's running drinks, whether it's running gloves out, doing it with a smile on their face and just doing that little one-percenter that helps us ultimately get the end result. Really happy with the whole squad, see we're only at the start of the tournament and we know that there'll be frustrations for guys that are really dying to play, and don't get that opportunity but, we have got a quality group of people who are just trying their best which is great,” remarked Coach Hesson.
