Earlier this month, Royal Challengers Bangalore announced the signings of Sri Lankan internationals Wanindu Hasaranga and Dhusmantha Chameera as replacements for Adam Zampa and Daniel Sams, respectively, ahead of the IPL 2021 second leg in the UAE.

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has confirmed in a media release that Hasaranga and Chameera will be permitted to compete in the IPL later this month. This decision was made after consulting with the board's Technical Advisory Committee, which gave the go-ahead to issue the NOC (No Objection Certificate).

“Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to announce that permission has been granted to National Players Dushmantha Chameera and Wanindu Hasaranga to take part in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021,” the SLC said in a statement.

“The permission for the players was granted by the SLC in consultation with the Technical Advisory Committee. The ‘No Objection Certificate’ to the duo was issued for them to join the IPL teams starting from 15th September (following the completion of the South Africa Tour of Sri Lanka),” the media release added.

RCB will kick off their UAE-leg of the IPL 2021 against Kolkata Knight Riders on September 20 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
