Finn Allen expresses his admiration for Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav

New Zealand and RCB opener, Finn Allen produced some fiery hitting in the recently concluded T20 World Cup. However, the hard-hitting Kiwi opener couldn’t fire off to a start in the ongoing series between India and the Blackcaps.

In a media interaction organized by Amazon Prime, Finn Allen revealed how he became a massive admirer of his IPL teammate Virat Kohli and also opened up on his adulation for Suryakumar Yadav who is in the form of his life at the moment.

Talking about Virat Kohli, Finn said, “In terms of guys that I admire, obviously the way Virat has gone about. He had a little bit of a tough time of late, and then to come out the way he has in the last few months and persevered through those challenges is very admirable. Just seeing him overcome that and finish the World Cup as the top run scorer for his country.”

He concluded by talking about his incredible respect for Suryakumar Yadav, especially given the form that the Indian middle-order biffer has found himself in. Finn said, “I really love watching Surya play. He is the No. 1 batter in the world at the moment and for good measure, I think. He is incredible. Some of the shots he plays are out of this world and he is someone I would strive to be like for sure.”
