A player of Virat Kohli’s stature has always had multiple admirers across the sport. One of them in his early days was South African wicket-keeper, Mark Boucher. The former RCB cricketer invited Virat Kohli for a golf game and gave him some crucial life advice, the story of which was narrated by the latter himself.

Talking in the teaser of the upcoming episode of RCB Podcast, Virat Kohli said, “I was so bad at golf. And three shots into it, because I kept on hitting everything to my right, my body position was off and three times they said that you have to go to the bush and hit the ball again. I said that I cannot do this sport.”

He further added, “Actually out of all the players that I have played with initially, Mark Boucher had the biggest impact on me. He figured out what my weakness could be. If I want to go to the next level, this is what I need to do. Without me asking him anything, he told me that when he comes to commentate in India, three or four years from now, if I don’t see you playing for India, you will be doing a disservice to yourself. He stunned me with the conversations that he had with me.”
