Team India will lock horns with England in the 2026 T20 World Cup semi-final. Given the firepower both teams boast, this will be an exciting clash of two brilliant outfits. RCB batting coach and mentor, Dinesh Karthik, opened up about England's key strengths and highlighted the matchups that could shape the fate of the semi-final when these two hard-hitting powerhouses collide.

Talking on RCB Bold Diaries about England’s major strengths, DK said, “First up, Salt and Buttler. They haven't been in great form, but we know that when they get going, they can be very hard to stop. We always have seen Salt personally, so we know what he can be capable of. So that is definitely a threat. Harry Brook, I think he's got the most important wicket because of the way he's batting, the tempo at which he's batting, and how he probably gets going in terms of shot-making.”

Karthik further added, “Will Jacks has been the best player across the tournament so far. So his batting at the back end has been laced with precision at the same time adapting to the situation. So I've quite enjoyed watching Will Jacks. He's another key player. With the bowling, I would say Adil Rashid, purely for his experience. He tends to pick up some crucial wickets. How we play Adil Rashid will be key. If we can take him on, we get a very big score. If we play him cleverly, not give wickets, we can still attain a par score, if not more.”

Shedding light on the match-ups that can define the fate of the contest, DK said, “Adil Rashid and Suryakumar Yadav. I think that's a very good one. Jofra Archer and Sanju Samson. Again, a key matchup for someone who brings the ball back in and has pace. So any batter will have trouble, but Sanju being in his prime form, would be a great matchup to watch out for. So these are the two matchups that I'm looking forward to.”

He concluded by stating, “And I should go the other way around. Varun Chakravarthy to Harry Brook. He's had the better of Harry Brook over a period of time. So I think that again is a solid matchup. Salt and Arshdeep Singh, they've had their challenges together. Both of them coming up against each other. These are the good matchups I'm looking forward to.”
