India eye dominant finish to T20I series against upbeat New Zealand
With the series win already sealed, Team India will be keen to finish off the T20I leg with a victory in Hamilton. For Shreyas Iyer, this is a new challenge where he will be eager to avenge the last defeat and more importantly extend their winning margin.
In the last battle with New Zealand, the bowlers had a rough day in office. That is one particular concern that India will try and fix. It wouldn’t be surprising if there are changes to the combination as that would allow the Men in Blue to experiment as well.
New Zealand, on the contrary, will be eager to conclude the series on a high after a much-needed win against India in Wellington. The Blackcaps showed serious intent with the bat while their bowlers were able to keep the dynamic Indian batting under control. However, the Kiwis know it well that no matter what happened in Auckland, the visitors would come knocking again with better intensity.
Venue Watch:
Hamilton has always offered balance between the bat and ball. The new ball will witness significant movement but as the lacquer wears off, it should be relatively easier for the batters to make ripples. The bounce is true on the surface while the carry is also decent, allowing batters to play their shots expressively.
