India eye series triumph with Ireland desperate to keep the visitors at bay

Riding high on a narrow victory that India secured against Ireland in the series-opener, Jasprit Bumrah and company would be returning to the yard, hoping to seize the series against Ireland in the second T20I itself. The hosts, on the contrary, would be desperate to keep the series alive with probably a chance at scripting history at Malahide.

Both the teams would most likely be coming to this fixture with an unchanged side as India would not like to change their playing XI while Ireland would like to keep things compact with the best playing XI at their behest.

India would be hopeful of another dreamy performance from their skipper Bumrah while they will be also hopeful that the remainder of the bowlers fire in the same breath. A victory in this game would help them open up a few slots for experimentation in the series finale.

Ireland already know their best combination and would be hoping to build around it. Despite new faces in the Indian side, they are well aware of the fact that this team has all the ingredients to post a solid display and even the minutest lapse in concentration can be a taxing factor in the Irish camp.

Venue Watch:

It is the same ground as that of the first match and the pitch would almost be identical to the first day with the ball moving around ever so slightly but adorned by the lateral movement and carry, the fast bowlers will have a slightly better sway than the turners. The batters, though, will have to find a way out of the uncertainty that environs them.
