India seek clean sweep of Sri Lanka in T20I series to conclude 2025 on a high

With the series win already pocketed, the Indian women's cricket team stand on the cusp of what can be a whitewash of Sri Lanka in Trivandrum. After a resounding show of batting fireworks in the last game, Harmanpreet Kaur and company will have their sights set on a victorious note to conclude 2025.

Smriti Mandhana returned to scoring runs in the last game, smashing 80 while also entering the record books. Shafali Verma continued her dream run in the shortest format of the game with another impeccable knock of 79 runs. Richa Ghosh’s tempestuous innings towards the end left the visitors reeling in agony.

However, the Indian bowling, which has so far proven to be miserly throughout the first three games, came under the scanner once they were asked to bowl in the dew. However, they held onto their nerves to get themselves another solid win and with that being said, Team India will be hopeful of getting themselves a compact win with an all-round contribution.

Venue Watch:

We have already seen that Trivandrum offers a quality batting track which will allow the fans to stay witness to another run-fest if not for an extraordinary bowling showdown. The bounce on the surface is true enough to earn good value for the batters’ shots while the second half will see dew coming in, thereby making it a lot easier for the batters to navigate.
