India sets sights on another T20I series while Windies hope to keep things alive

As India wrapped up the contest at Warner Park earlier than the full quota of 20 overs on Tuesday and go 2-1 up in the series, it is now time for the USA leg to unfurl. With all the business red-tape finally taken care of, it is now time to stay witness to some serious cricketing action as West Indies will be desperate to stay alive series while India is placed in very close proximity to another silverware that will provide them a major uplift ahead of the forthcoming Asian Cup and the T20 World Cup in late October.

The Men in Blue belted out a string of impressive batting showdowns as Suryakumar Yadav was back to form after a couple of reticent displays while Shreyas Iyer paced his inning comfortably to help the attacker-in-chief at Warner Park. Despite Obed McCoy conjuring an extraordinary display in the second T20I, India took special care to avert being too aggressive against the burly fast bowler while the others were peppered to the ropes with extreme prejudice.

However, the Indian bowling unit will have to be a bit wary given the belting that they have taken in the last two games, with the dearth of wickets being a defining factor that has allowed the hosts to put a foot on the gas whenever they have wanted.

The surface at the Central Broward Regional Park is more inclined towards the bowlers with the average first innings score in T20Is being a modest 155. However, if we tend to look at the overall 24 T20 contests that have so far been played, the average score goes up slightly north of 157.
