Nitish Kumar Reddy led the Indian bowling charge, chiming in with crucial breakthroughs in India’s win against Afghanistan in the second T20I.

He bagged the prized scalps of Ibrahim Zadran, Gulbadin Naib and Rashid Khan, changing the course of the game in India’s favour on his way to figures of 3/24 from three overs.

Reddy opened up on his return from his injury while emphasizing on the urge to become one of the finest all-rounders in the mix.

Reflecting on his recovery, Reddy said, “It's good. Right now I'm feeling great. We have done some great work at COE, and the body's recovering well.”

Shedding light on his ability to generate some extra pace, Reddy added, “I feel great. I always wanted to become the greatest all-rounder, and for that I wanted that extra pace, which I'm getting. You will have the pros and cons, and I'm working on not getting frequently injured and (staying) fit.”

He concluded by talking about how he felt after the game, adding, “I would say it's all about trusting your ability and (making) that comeback, and I was just believing in myself. It's a funny game; anything can change in a moment.”
