It was a day that once again emphasized the virtue of patience as RCB played the waiting game to eventually sign quality players at the WPL 2027 Auction.

Earlier in the session, they did plunge for Sophie Molineux. However, UP Warriorz, coming in with a massive purse, beat RCB to her signature. Following that, there was no movement for RCB for a while as they waited for the accelerated rounds, in which Jess Jonassen’s name popped up first.

RCB didn’t waste a single second. The paddle went up and without any competition, they landed Jonassen for INR 40 lakh. The next round of accelerated auction saw RCB making waves with experienced India middle-order batter, Tejal Hasabnis, being roped in at her base price of INR 30 lakh followed by a young Vrinda Dinesh joining RCB for INR 10 lakh.

The final buy of the day for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru was that of Chloe Tryon, the South Africa all-rounder who was snapped up for INR 30 lakh.

Here’s a quick look at RCB’s class of 2027:

Arundhati Reddy, Ellyse Perry, Georgia Voll, Lauren Bell, Nadine De Klerk, Pooja Vastrakar, Prathyoosha Kumar, Prema Rawat, Radha Yadav, Richa Ghosh, Sayali Satghare, Shreyanka Patil, Smriti Mandhana, Chloe Tryon, Jess Jonassen, Vrinda Dinesh, Tejal Hasabnis.
