Nothing beats that - Krunal Pandya on the emotions of winning the IPL 2025 trophy

RCB roped in Krunal Pandya for INR 5.75 crore in the 2025 IPL mega-auction. The all-rounder made an instant impact in his first season with the franchise, securing the Player of the Match award in the season's opening game. He capped off the tournament with another incredible performance, winning the Player of the Match award in the summit clash.

As RCB started their IPL 2026 campaign, Pandya was also a part of it and would be hopeful about bringing the same fire to the mix in the forthcoming days. Donning the RCB threads for a second consecutive season is always special. However, it is anything but easy. A lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes and Krunal Pandya opened up about it. He also underlined the emotions of winning the IPL trophy which was long overdue for RCB.

Talking on Big Basket presents RCB Podcast, Pandya said, “First of all, feeling good about it. Again, second season for me, first season for me, for RCB with me, where we wanted to win the trophy. And it was long overdue for us. Yeah, for us to achieve that goal, you know, we all worked hard for two and a half, three months, I guess, the prep went before that for the support staff.”

Underlining the emotions of being a part of the trophy-winning team, Pandya added, “And after so many months of hard work, when you get the result, nothing beats that. It's quite satisfying. And to play a part in that journey was again extra year of satisfaction and I felt good about it.”
